**Swim School**
Our Waterbabies class for babies aged 6 months to 18 months of age. 1 instructor in a class of 8 maximum. In these classes we are working on water familiarisation, buoyancy and mobility. Fine motor skills and social skills are introduced and developed. A parent/caregiver is required to be in the water with baby in this class.
**Swim School**
Goldfish is our beginner level for 3 to 4 year old's. 1 instructor with max. 4 children, this class is for children learning to enter and exit the water safely and begin to learn independence and mobility in the water and be comfortable in submersion.
To pass our Goldfish level, swimmers must be able to:
*Enter and exit the water safely
*Happily submerge
*Demonstrate propulsion using your legs
*Swim with a good head position
*Attempt a safety jump
**Swim School**
Seahorses is the level swimmers progress to after completing our Jellyfish level. 1 instructor with a max. 4 children. Swimmers in this class are 3 - 4 years of age. In Seahorses, swimmers are staring to learn Freestyle and Backstroke kicking. Breathing is also introduced in Freestyle. Seahorses is a level where swimmers can be advanced and skills extended as needed for individual swimmers. To pass Seahorses swimmers must be able to:
*Slide in entry
*Swim 6metres Freestyle
*Swim 6metres Backstroke kicking
*Squatting dive without assistance
*Achieve a safety jump
*Tread water for 5 seconds
**Swim School**
Our Waterbabies Class for children aged 18 months to 3 years of age. 1 instructor in a class of 8 maximum. In this class we are building the skills of mobility, buoyancy and water familiaristaion. A Parent/Caregiver is required in the water.
**Swim School**
Jellyfish is the level swimmers progress to once they have completed the Goldfish requirements level. 1 instructor with max. 4 children in the water.
In Jellyfish, swimmers are learning correct head and body position along with an efficient kick to then start to build the swimming strokes, Freestyle and Backstroke.
To pass Jellyfish, swimmers must be able to:
*Torpedo the STARplex way
*Able to submerge and pick up a toy
*Achieve a mushroom float
*Achieve a safety jump in our learner's pool
**Swim School**
Penguins is our beginner level for school aged children from 5 years of age. 1 instructor to 5 max. per class.
In Penguins children are learning water familiarisation and confidence in the water. Skills include submerging and independent mobility in the water. To be able to pass Penguins children must be able to:
*Enter and Exit the water safely
*Torpedo the STARplex way
*Float on your back without assistance
*Submerge and pick up a toy
*Achieve a safety jump
*Achieve a mushroom float
**Swim School**
Stingrays is the next level after Yabbies for school aged children. 1 instructor to a max.6 per class. In Stingrays, Freestyle with correct breathing is developed and Backstroke arms are introduced.
To pass Stingrays swimmers must be able to:
*Swim 10m Freestyle with correct breathing
*Swim 10m Backstroke
*Sitting dive from the pool edge
*Tread water for 10 seconds
**Swim School**
Yabbies is the next level in our school age program after Penguins. 1 instructor to a max.6 per class. In Yabbies classes, swimmers are working on Freestyle with roll over breathing and Backstroke kicking. To pass Yabbies, swimmers must be able to:
*Slide in entry
*Swim 10metres Freestyle rolling to breath
*Swim 10metres Backstroke kick
*Dive down head first with or without assistance
*Achieve a safety jump
**Swim School**
Turtles is the final level in our learn to swim program for school aged children before progressing to our squad program. 1 instructor to a max.6 per class. In Turtles, Breaststroke is introduced and developed as well as revising Freestyle and Backstroke skills to ensure swimmers and confident and competent before entering our first squad level, Mini Squad.
To pass Turtles swimmers must be able to:
Swim 10m Backstroke
Swim 10m Freestyle
Swim 10m Breaststroke
Swim 10m Butterfly kick
Crouching dive from the pool edge
Tread water 30 seconds
**Gymnastics**
Classes are suitable for participants from 5 years of age, beginner or intermediate level. The gymnastic classes are great fun and children develop skills in jumping and landing, shapes, balance and coordination in addition to learning skills on a variety of equipment including:
uneven bars
floor
trampoline
beam
vault
parallel bars
rings
Recreation classes follow a certificate program, where children acquire a set of skills according to each level. Children are assessed throughout the term and will receive certificates for each apparatus passed, as well as for the completion of the entire stage. On completion of Stage 3 gymnasts have the option to train each week (75 min class) in Stage 4. From this class children progress to the Intermediate Program

Little Leapers is an introductory one hour class for 4 to 5 year olds that prepares children for the recreational gym program for children aged 5 years and over.
Participants in Little Leapers are able to explore the world of gymnastics whilst building their confidence and motor skills. Your child will develop strength, coordination, body control, flexibility as well as life skills of resilience, taking turns and challenging themselves.
**Gymnastics**
Pocket Rockets is a 45 minute class designed to introduce 3 to 5 years olds to the sport of gymnastics.
Participants in Pocket Rockets are able to explore the world of gymnastics whilst building their confidence and motor skills. Your child will develop strength, coordination, body control, flexibility as well as life skills of resilience, taking turns and challenging themselves.
